i can’t help it. i was afraid that if i say anything about this too soon its going to get jinxed. but i’m too excited!!!
i can really feel the travel bug starting to bite me hard in the ass again. last week Cebu Pacific had a 50% seat sale for their Asia destinations and i found myself itching to check just how cheap the rates could get. my friend Meling and i had been talking about Kota Kinbalu (KK) for a while now so that’s the first destination i chose. when the results page showed i was so happy to see a round trip ticket from Manila to KK would only cost us P3,000! woooooot!
so i immediately texted the friendships about the sale and days after, Lauren, Meling and I were able to agree on exact dates this October for a trip to KK. i then borrowed mom’s credit card and booked the flights for us including Dich. i held my breath until i got our itinerary receipt on my email and that’s when i said ok, this is REALLY HAPPENING. we have yet to book our Cebu-Manila flight since there were no more promo fares available. we will just have to wait for another seat sale.
i’ve been researching like mad about where to go, what to to and what to eat. so far these websites have been really helpful:

all i know for now is that there will be a lot of swimming w/ my fish & coral friends, lounging at the beach, and basking in the sun, maybe some trekking, a bit of shopping, a lot of sightseeing plus a WHOLE LOT OF eating. i can’t wait to try out all the local fare in KK!
i have about 2 months to finalize the itinerary and book a BUDGET hotel. this is so exciting!!! its just too bad Ilene & Anya couldn’t join us on this trip. Ilene, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for sending me the links to some KK tour packages. you’re an angel!
i’ll definitely miss you this time, miss itinerary expert! haha! :p
researching about KK got me blog hopping from one travel blog to another and all of a sudden i have this urge to just pack my stuff and leave for wherever the wind takes me. if only life is THAT simple. oh well, at least i have something to look forward to! KK see you in October! weeeee!

np mik! i’ll be looking forward to your pics and stories!! get ready for for the climbing in mount kinabalu! mao na ni ipuli sa wala nadayun nga mount pinatubo heheheh
