TWO!

**my August 24, 2010 post**

2….. 2 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Weighing Scale at the gym told me i lost 2 freakin’ lbs! how cool is that?! i mean, 6 days of not eating rice and this is what i get! i couldn’t believe my eyes at first. i had to weigh myself before i started cardio workout AND after just to make sure it was really true. and it was!!!! atong pakpakan si michellego!!! weeeeeee!!! although i don’t really feel it nor see that those 2 lbs are gone, what the weighing scale said is enough for me. :D

today i hit a jackpot for my breakfast. if yesterday’s breakfast was so bad today was suuuuuuper delish! i had oatmeal again but this time i put in apple slices and a sprinkling of cinnamon. i thought it would be another meal i’d be “forced” to just eat but noooo. i really enjoyed it! next oatmeal topping will be peaches as Ilene recommended. and i’d have to buy powdered Nutmeg to go with it too. i’m almost bored w/ cinnamon already. hehe.. here’s my brekky!

Oatmeal w/ Apple & Cinnamon

i was in a bit of a rush today so i had the yayas help me prepare my baon in my spankin’ new food containers. here’s what i had prepared for lunch. my usual salad w/ zesty french dressing. that’s the dressing i’m so in love with! it costs 2x as much as the Lady’s Choice dressings i used to buy but 100x yummier man pud. i’m going to try their other dressings once i consume this one.

i had the “condiments” placed in the other container which had dividers. croutons, the dressing, and some apple slices that i think were meant to be eaten as my snacks but i ended up putting them in my salad as well. i also love eating my croutons. i know i know, they kind of make my salad fattier but i can’t bear to eat salad w/o it. maybe if i had some sort of meat there like grilled chicken maybe then i can forego my croutons. without it i think lud-on nako sa akong salad. waaaaah!

and lastly, for dinner, i had this prepared. this is Pure Foods Ham (the LITE version) and Kraft American Singles Cheese in wheat bread. tomorrow i think i’ll have the same thing but with egg (egg whites only) this time. para complete na ang HamenEgenChiz Sandwitz. i added a Quaker Oats Chocolate Chip Granola bar to wrap up my meal for the day.

this is actually the first time i’m going to “test run” my healthy eating foods on a day that im going to work out. i kind of feared a little bit that the sandwich and granola bar wouldn’t be enough to fuel me throughout my workout. it did for a while but while i was doing my last cardio i started to feel hunger pangs already. good thing i had some Quaker Oats Apple Cinnamon cookies stashed in my laptop bag. haha!

speaking of workout, here’s what i did for today. i just took it easy since it’s my first time to be back in over 2 weeks.

5 min bike warm up

stretching

10 min bike

2 rounds 2 minutes shadow boxing

3 rounds 2 minutes punch mitts

15 minutes elliptical

5 minutes treadmill

abdominals: 3 sets 30 reps crunches

it was actually a very lousy gym session but not bad for a start. i hope to be able to work out at least 3 time this week then next week i’ll try to increase it to 4. my target would really be 5 days a week. i know its going to be hard but i WILL TRY! after all, i am so motivated by the 2 lbs that i lost today. haha! i also had a banana and a cup of yogurt after arriving home from the gym. this plus 1 slice of  toasted wheat bread w/ cream cheese and the tomato & garlic dip. i can’t get enough of it gyud. felt like i was eating pizza! hai. maka gutom ning mag workout doh!

i also want to mention that i am so inspired to make so many healthy dishes. i’ve been bloghopping a lot from PBFingers and so far i’ve ended up here and here and i’ve been getting so jealous of all the yummy recipes that are so doable. i’m doing grocery again tomorrow so i can try out some recipes over the weekend. weee! so excited! michellego is that you?!! domesticated much?!

i guess that’s it for today. will see you again tomorrow if something interesting comes up. :D
