ok, this is going to be a very long post because i can’t not write an entry on the happenings of Friday, Saturday & Sunday. here goes:
August 27, 2010 (Friday)
menu for the day:
Breakfast – oatmeal w/ peaches & nutmeg
Lunch – spinach pasta in tomato basil sauce w/ tuna. this time since my brother had some left over KFC Fun Shots, i put some of them on my pasta. what a yummy lunch!
i didn’t do much at the office today. as i previously said, i’m so disoriented about work and so un-inspired to correct things. i’m just going w/ the flow and correcting things as they come. hahy. bad mickiego!!! i was at the Colon office for a while then later headed to the BBabies studio at BTC. this is, as you’ve noticed, my usual routine. while i was at BTC i think i’m quite the lucky charm because 1 customer walked in and signed up for a membership. whopeeeeee! to think that was almost closing time already. after we closed up, i headed to EXS to get me this top that i’ve been eyeing for a while now. i got it because a.) its cheap like only P299 cheap b.) it fits me great and c.) it’s made of really good quality fabric. i love stuff from EXS because they’re export over runs therefore they i almost made it to the international market but got cut out for some little reason. so everything there is CHEAP w/ a capital C! haha! :p
and since my leg was bothering me (due to over stretching during jazz class the day before), i decided to just skip the gym and head to Ayala instead. i was just supposed to do some grocery shopping but i ended up shopping for clothes and magazines as well. oh lord, i’ve really become quite the shopaholic lately.
i got a total of 3 tops from MGDS (Metro Gaisano Dept Store) because they’re so incredibly cheap and they fit me really nicely. spent only a little over p1k! amazing! here’s a group pic of the newest additions to my closet. the first 3 tops from the left are the ones i got from MGDS and the last one is the one i got from EXS.
and wow, look at my choice of magazines now! i bought BLUSH because i want to learn more make up tricks, Women’s Health because i want to learn more about eating healthy and exercising right, and this recipe booklet from Yummy called Good To Go because i need new ideas for my sandwiches.
by the time i got to the supermarket i was already quite low on cash because of the abovementioned unecessary and unplanned purchases. so i didn’t really get to buy everything that i needed. this means another trip to the supermarket is called for within the week! hahah! :p after grocery, it was time to head home. i was starved by then and i knew i still had one sandwich waiting for me to eat. so i prepared this for myself as my heavy yet healthy dinner. this is Salmon & Cream Cheese sandwich with a siding of baked potato chips (Kettle Chips in Cheddar = LOVE!) plus a siding of KFC Oriental Chicken Salad (another of my brother’s leftovers). ended the meal w/ Nestle Fruit Selection yogurt for dessert.
it was around this time when my laptop started to go bonkers on me. i spent HOURS trying to run Disk Utility in the hopes of repairing the hard disk. i forced shut down a couple of time, i prayed to God to please please please save my files especially the work ones. but in the end, i had to give it up. i sent an SOS text to my brother telling him about my lappy. he just told me he’ll bring it to the computer shop tomorrow. i knew by then i was going to get a scolding from him. he told me DO NOT download torrents anymore because it causes damage to my hard disk. hahay… gahi man gud ug ulo si mickiego!
my Friday ended w/ me going to sleep w/ a very heavy heart.
August 28, 2010 (Saturday)
Jihannee had been planning this little outing since the beginning of the week since she had a guest coming fr Manila. and i was so excited because it was going to be my first time to go fishing!
yeaaaaahhh!!! Jihanee, Shayne & i invited Meling along for the day then off we went to Liloan. the place was called Co Jordan Bangus & Talaba Farm. its just basically a small body of water where the owners breed bangus & talaba. they added little cottages on the side plus a Sutukil style service wherein you select your choice of food to be cooked and how you want them cooked. so we settled for squid cooked calamares style, deep fried tilapia, and grilled talaba. Shayne & Jihannee had already passed by CNT Lechon that morning so we had that for lunch as well.
while waiting for our food to be cooked, we rented these makeshift fishing rods, bought some bait, then went fishing! i didn’t know it could be so much fun! it’s exhilarating the way you feel the fish starting to go near your bait, the thrill of reeling them in and seeing the fish actually in front of you. i actually pitied the poor fishies so we just set them aside and decided to not buy them for cooking. we later found out that they escaped from the net. hehe. go fishies, go!
when lunch finally arrived i just couldn’t resist temptation anymore. i mean, how could you eat lechon w/0 rice? so i had myself 1 puso and just neglected the little voices in my head saying no rice! no rice! gaaaaah! i had 1 whole puso to myself and enjoyed every single bite. sige nalang, lami man kaayo i-kaon gud!!! CNT lechon is awesome as always, the calamares was so crispy and fresh, the tilapia soooooo tasty, and the talaba so yummmy! and for all these guess how much we ended up paying? only P601.25! OMG! CHEAP THRILL!!! hahahaha!
we all enjoyed our Co Jordan experience.
we would have loved to just chill for a bit more there but we were a bit pressed for time as Shayne had a flight to catch back to Manila later that day. it was nice to meet you Shayne!
’till next time Co Jordan! i’m definitely brining more of the friendships here soon!
next stop after lunch was of course, dessert.
Jihannee & Mel told me about this uber delisyoso halo2x only found in Liloan. how come daw i’ve never heard about it in my life? haha! sorry friends, i guess i don’t know much about Cebu after all. so we made the short drive to the heart of Liloan and found this little sari2x store called Lita’s Halo2x. we grabbed a table and put in an order for 3. when our orders arrived, and when i finished mixing the ice cream, and all the ingredients, i placed a spoon in my mouth and immediately went to halo2x heaven. sooooooo lami!!! my goodness! it reminded me of Razon’s Halo2x only this time w/ more variety on the texture. it was the perfect way to cool down on a super hot Saturday. no regrets sa akong gi kaon today! bahala na ang diet! hahaha! :p here’s me and Jihanee w/ our Lita’s Halo2x.
and here’s a little collage of our mini outing
thank you Jihannee for inviting me & Mel! balik niya ta ani with the rest of the friendships soon!!!
we then proceeded to SM to kill time before we drive Shayne to the airport. Shayne said SM Northwing is the most beautiful SM she’s ever seen. yay!!
something to be proud of! too bad our BBook had to close there. i guess the Northwing looks nice but in terms of attracting the buying market, its not up to par w/ Ayala. we went around for a bit then Mel and I headed to Speedo because we wanted to check out some stuff we’ll be needing for our Kota Kinabalu trip. i knew i needed a pair of aqua shoes i just didn’t know i’d be buying it that day seeing as i’ve been spending way too much money already. but the tindera said this is so halinon and its the last pair left. so i went ahead and bought this pair of aqua shoes. i just kept telling myself that its an investment since i frequent the beach anyway. i do think its worth it
plus its in gray & pink! pretty noh? can’t wait to wear this in KK!
after SM, we dropped Shayne off at the airport then made a quick pit stop at my house then proceeded to dance class. poor Jihanee was already so tired from all that driving. jazz class, as i previously mentioned was made so much more fun because of all the MJ music playing. i really love teacher Marie for giving in to my MJ lovin’. haha! we danced for a little over an hour then hung out for a while w/ Marie while waiting for mdm Lau. Jihannee and i freshened up for a bit then when Lau arrived we all headed to Ayala to watch Step Up 3. what an awesome movie!
the story line is lame but omg the dancing!!! so incredibly amazing. i’m so suya that they could move like that! and WOW. Michael Jackson was mentioned TWICE throughout the movie. that made me so happy!
so sayang lang we didn’t watch it in 3D. we should have gone to SM instead. boo
when the movie ended Jihanee, although she was tired as heck, declared that the night was young and so are we! so decided to have a night cap at our usual favorite, Coffee Cat. we chatted a bit there and made mdm Lau suya with all the food we ate that day. hahaha! :p this time i opted to go for the healthier alternative so i ordered a tetra pack of Silk Soy Milk in Chocolate.
whew! what a long and activity packed Saturday. when i got home i heard the good news from my brother that something could still be done about my hard disk and that i could still rescue the files that i could not live without. so i stayed up until 5am transferring files from the busted hard disk to an external disk. i was able to successfully do so and that night (morning) i slept so much better.
hay salamat! hahaha!
** i want to finish writing up to Sunday but its almost 4am, my eyes are drooping and my hands are tired from typing. tomorrow nalang ang part 2 plus Monday’s post. my goodness. so hard to keep up w/ blogging every single day! but take note michelle, wala’y ga sugo nimo. ok?! see you tomorrow! **
